CITRONELLI
Gabriel Boudier

The background
As part of its second collaboration with Gabriel Boudier, the renowned French liqueur maker, Partisan du Sens was entrusted with the creation of a new Corsican lemon liqueur brand.
In response to the rising demand for lower-alcohol spirits and the growing popularity of cocktails among new consumers, Citronelli emerges as a contemporary, authentic French alternative to the traditional Limoncello.
The challenge was threefold: to design an identity that is both premium and accessible, to ensure immediate stand-out on shelf, and to establish a rich and expressive brand universe, easily extendable beyond packaging alone.
Citronelli thus asserts itself as a brand that embodies the Mediterranean art of living, finding its fullest expression in a sunny, summery packaging design.

The creation
Citronelli is more than a liqueur: it becomes a true symbol of joy and conviviality, telling the story of the Mediterranean, its softness, its brightness, its radiant warmth.
The primary packaging relies on a standard bottle, elevated into a signature object through a finishing mould featuring a relief inspired by the iconic arches of coastal villages. This architectural gesture lends the product a distinctive and refined dimension.
Yellow and white bayadère stripes, the project’s defining graphic thread, rise as a strong visual signature, instantly recognisable and easily adaptable across all brand touchpoints.
Positioned for today’s evolving consumption rituals and the aspirations of a younger generation, Citronelli stands as the ideal liqueur to reinvent the French Spritz and craft sparkling cocktails.
